Detailed Itinerary

Your journey begins at 9:00 am towards the town of Shkodra, known for its stunning natural landscape surrounded by the lakes and valleys of the Albanian Alps. The northern Albanian town of Shkodra, located on the lake of the same name, has an eventful history behind it: Romans, Serbs, Venetians, Turks and Austrians determined its fate. Shkodra was one of the most important cities in Albania - the secret capital of Albania.

On a rocky hill overlooking the city, on the Buna and Drini rivers, is the most important monument of Shkoder: The castle of Rozafa. The oldest wall of the castle dates from the first millennium BC, from the time of the Illyrian King Gentius, to the Romans of 168 BC.

After visiting the castle district, you will have the opportunity to explore the Leaden Mosque. You will take a walk through the alleys of the old town with classicist houses. This city is the symbol of tolerance and religious coexistence in Albania. Two mosques, an Orthodox church and a Catholic cathedral enrich the cityscape.

A visit to the historical museum is on the plan. Here you can see archaeological artifacts and historical photographs that will tell you about the different periods of life in the city. After experiencing the rich culture and history of Shkodra, you will return to your hotel.
